this should absolutely be required reading for all high school students. It’s tough, hard to read context, but the author does it in such a way that it’s relatable. You have narration, letters, news articles, flashbacks, therapy notes, etc.

The topics are all relatable in some way or another - death, car accidents, underage drinking, depression, friend loss, scholarship loss, missing scouts, missing school, grades, anxiety, suicide.

I absolutely loved this book and wish it would have found me earlier in life when i needed to hear this story.

the audio was very well done. It has multiple narrators and kept me engaged. I would have even liked the book to be longer, but overall it was a hard to read, beautiful story.

THE FINAL INSTALLMENT - honestly i’m sad it’s over.

This was a joy to read - it was cute, funny and heartwarming and felt like the perfect ending to this series. You absolutely do not need to read the rest of the series to read any of the books within.

Kristine’s writing is really enjoyable! It’s bingable and the characters are quickly relatable which makes the story more entertaining as a reader.

I feel like i could see this book as a movie so easily! It had all the  aspects that would keep you entertained on screen and the plot was enjoyable. I loved how the characters found themselves throughout it as well. Our FMC especially - when she told Devon where to shove it, I was cheering and the work bench & letter had me kicking my feet.

It has allll the goods: fake dating, small town romance, he falls first, cinnamon roll MMC

Absolutely recommend to my peers and would definitely read more by this author in the future.

This was fun and quick! I really enjoyed the more lightheartedness of it, and actually liked it more than i thought i would! We love a plus size FMC and a protective MMC - and the way he worshiped her - obsessed.

It’s giving football romance, found family, friends to lovers 🏈

I expected it to be spicier than it was, so i think i actually wanted more spice! 😆

Overall it was super fun and cute!

I would definitely recommend to my peers & will continue in the series!

THIS WAS SOOOO GOOD.
i think this has been my favorite of the entire series thus far - I may have said it before, but def this one.

The banter was absolutely everything! I loved the best friend banter between Sab and Ruby, but the banter didn’t stop with them.. Between Ruby and Maddox the banter was so good too.

I loved all the characters, their relationships between them and i loved seeing Dennis and Sidney in this one too. I truly love Evergreen Lake and will be so sad when the series is over!

I LOVE a best friend’s brother/sister  with a MATURE best friend. I loved that Sab was secretly all for Maddox and Ruby getting together. OH & not just best friend’s brother - but ITS ALWAYS BEEN YOU WITH NO CHEATING 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 We love to see it.

I even didn’t hate Joel’s character fully. Once we saw his development at the end, i felt like he was redeemable too.

The spice was top tier too! it didn’t feel cringy and wasn’t over the top or unrealistic imo!

Absolutely 10/10 recommend this one being read within the series or by itself! def pick it up! I will absolutely be diving deeper into to this author now too!

this was a cute installment in the cinnamon roll and pumpkin spice series - but it felt like it had a different vibe than the others in the series. I didn’t feel like I was in the small town. Regardless of that, It was a cute story, and the two MCs were quite lovable.

It is a cinnamon roll, small town romance that focused more on the simple joys in life - friendships, working, independence, etc.

I enjoyed the story overall, but it felt a bit hard for me to get into. It felt more like a billionaire romance than a fall, cinnamon roll/cozy romance.

Overall, i would recommend reading it if you’re working through the series, but it is def my least favorite of the collection.

This was such a warm, loving sapphic love story!

The FMC, Murphy, was such a relatable character to almost anyone IMO. Her struggles were things we all deal with at some point in life and because of that she felt very real and relatable which made you root for her more as a reader.

I feel like the biggest story line of the book we all deal with was the struggles between Murphy and Kat. It was written so well and really made you see yourself in one of the girls.

The author did a very good job at weaving real issues that young adults all deal with as they get older into a really warm and engaging love story between Murphy and Ellie. I really enjoyed watching them come to in their own right and what they wanted in life and with each other.

I think we all struggled at one point or another making decisions about where to go in life when it came to a partner or very close friend. The author did a beautiful job of weaving it all together!

I would absolutely recommend to my peers and would definitely read more by this author.

HANDS DOWN - my favorite book by Madison Wright! I absolutely loved everything about this!

I’m slowly being turned into a lover of brother’s best friend trope because when the brother is NOT crazy defensive of the situation and is for the relationship it’s so much more wholesome and enjoyable, and this one had allllll the things you need to be cheering on your MCs!

Madison writes in a way where you truly fall in love with and root so deeply for her characters. They’re relatable, enjoyable and bingable. I sat down with the book and didn’t get up for 3 hours and it was finished.

It’s giving - small down romance, brother’s best friend, friends to lovers, fake dating AND she’s a small business bad a$$ owner. 👏🏼

ALSO - my absolute favorite part of the book…..
THE PROPOSAL! 👏🏼 that’s all i’m going to say because i don’t want to give anything away, but I literally texted every single person i know and swooned over how he proposed. My bookish loving heart was freaking out.

I also just want to touch on the vulnerability Madison showed in the acknowledgment section of this book. You’re such a strong woman and you’re not alone. 🖤

This was a super cute, pleasant christmas office, fake dating, grumpy/sunshine romance! It was very Hallmark ESK which i love in my holiday romances!

I really enjoyed the overall storyline and the characters! the story flowed and I listened in 1 sitting. My only note would be that a dual pov narration with 1 narrator is a bit strange for me, but i enjoyed the narrator so it was fine overall.

I would absolutely recommend this & read more by this author!

I really enjoyed this installment in the Evergreen Lake series! It felt a bit different than the other installments but i didn’t mind that! It felt heavier on the romance / football aspect and the growth of the characters than a christmas romance.

I really adored the banter between the FMCs and i think their meet…. cute? 😆 was so funny. IYKYK.

Gino was an absolute gem and i adored his little words and appearances throughout the story. When he called Norah mommy at the end… i was a puddle.

I felt like the MC was almost unnecessarily possessive. It felt out of character for his character when it would arise with Sawyer. A bit of jealously, sure… but it felt a bit awkward.

Overall I really enjoyed the more sporty romance side of Evergreen Lake & would absolutely recommend it to my peers!

This one took me by surprise in the best way! 🎅🏼
This felt like a cup of hot chocolate, under a warm blanket on Christmas Eve. ☕️

I really enjoyed Annie and her energy throughout the entire book! I loved her relationships she was forming with her neighbors and Braden. She was a little rough around the edges at first but her heart shown through by day 12.

I absolutely adored the tie up at the end with Braden’s mom and then all having dinner together. Santa was probably one of my favorite characters as well.

The audio was very well done and i really enjoyed listening to the story!

It is very Hallmark ESK and I think it would be such a good movie! 😊

I would absolutely recommend this and will be looking into more by this author!
