The Woman in Black by Susan Hill
3.0
For the first time in my life I think I'm gonna call Movie>book.
I liked this book, but it took me a while to get into and I found myself skimming a lot of it.
That said, I am certainly spooked by the woman in black and Eel Marsh house.

Me And Mr. Darcy by Alexandra Potter
2.0
This is the most spectacular miscomprehension of Pride and Prejudice I've ever endured.
Firstly, the Mr Darcy in this book is nothing like Austen's, except from the overuse of "Brooding". Darcy in P&P is "brooding", handsome, proud and reclusive. This Darcy is just a hopeless romantic dork.
Plus, Emily is so bland, and I'm just not convinced that Darcy could ever fall in love with her. She's vain, shallow and on more than one occasion, a little bit sexist.
I find it adorable how Topshop is made out to be some kind of Indie-Haven in this book, and whilst the writer is British she absolutely MURDERS writing Britain from and American point of view.
That said, I did like the ending, and I think it could make a really good movie.

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

YES.
I demand that I be allowed to attend a boarding school in Paris for my final year of school .DEMAND. It was such a nice book. Nothing disastrously bad happened (i.e. no death) and it's nice to read a book about normal (albeit rich) teenagers getting to have fun in PARIS.
I really want to go to paris now.

How To Be a Woman by Caitlin Moran

This is more of a 3.5 star. But i didn't want to round it down. I really liked this book, though as a teenage girl my interest faltered around half way through for a bit when it got a little less relevant to me at the moment. I liked that it was a feminist book that doesn't poo-pooh the feminine too. I didn't agree with all her ideas, but overall it was a pretty good read.
