so fucking cute and will definitely be one of my faves of the year!

while reading it i felt like it’d be a five star read, but i didn’t really love the ending
i think it’s strange how pepper quite literally became her mom? working at girl cheesing and giving them her recipes
but that’s just more of a personal opinion rather than bad writing

i also think that, especially towards the end after the conflict, there should’ve been a little bit more pepperjack scenes (olivia hiii😁)

anyways they were so cute and i loved both of them so much, the development was great🫶

this book was so beautifully written and i instantly fell in love with chani, gabe and ollie

i love the way it was divided, i love the way the conflict was written and resolved and i love the ending

i think the only thing that bugged me is that chani and gabe have spent such little time together and yet their relationship is incredibly fast paced

honestly i think that this book started off better than it turned out

sometimes, the characters would say something one chapter, and two chapters later would change their minds entirely. also i found the writing kind of cringey at times

that being said, i loved avery a lot! whenever she had worries she would immediately talk them out instead of assuming the worst and sticking with it. and josh and avery are SO CUTE!!! soulmates<3<3

i also love the title!! a great metaphor

i have. mixed feelings😀

the book started off INCREDIBLY misogynistic and strange (the chastity ring???? gross as fuck) but it progressed and became sort of good??? it felt like a completely different book, the way wren and crew’s personalities did a complete 180 all of a sudden

i think my favourite part (and the reason i rated it two stars) was the whole plotline related to the title of the book. i am in shambles.

anyways… not a good book overall👎
