The Safari: A Novel by Jaclyn Goldis
3.5
Thank you to NetGalley, Jaclyn Goldis and Atria books for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
This was definitely a unique thriller and I enjoyed that aspect of it, but I was expecting the Safari aspect to play a bigger role in the novel. The twists were amazing and the family drama was unreal. Definitely an interesting read.
Running Wild by K.A. Tucker
4.5
This one has been sitting on my shelf for so long because I wasn’t ready for this series to be over. This was so good and I really loved seeing this character have her happy ending.
Bad Apples by Will Dean
4.0
This is by far my favourite Tuva thus far! This one is super addicting, fast paced and twisty. I didn’t want to put this one down - Dean just gets better and better with each novel.
In the Dark We Forget by Sandra S.G. Wong
3.0
I had seen this authors work around so I decided when I saw this one at my used bookstore, that I wanted to try it! I really enjoyed the first quarter, but honestly I wasn’t super impressed. It was a decent slower paced thriller but it just wasn’t for me
The Lake of Lost Girls by Katherine Greene
4.5
Thank you to Libro.FM for my listening copy!
This was addicting! It’s a slow burn novel with many many suspects and victims. The multiple perspectives told in different time lines really made this story work beautifully. I was totally immersed in this story and I flew through it. The twists were shocking, the characters were all suspicious and the narrators were perfect.

This was so good! I love the podcast chapters so much and how twisted this entire novel is. The twists were amazing and the characters perfectly flawed. This was a unique story that I highly recommend.
Head Cases by John McMahon
4.25
Thank you to NetGalley, John McMahon and St Martin’s Press for free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
This was a good start to a series that I think I’d like to continue. I loved the different type of team that mostly deals with puzzles and see things others don’t. It was fairly fast paced, great twists and wildly action packed.
The Clinic by Cara Reinard

This definitely was a different type of thriller than I’ve been reading lately. More slow burn with quite a build up of tension and wondering what is going to go wrong next. I really enjoyed it nonetheless.
The Close-Up by Pip Drysdale
4.5
Thank you to NetGalley, PiP Drysdale and Simon and Schuster Canada for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
Wow. This is my favourite Drysdale novel yet. This is super twisty, super action packed and full of lying celebrities. I really didn’t want to put this one down! I was shocked by the twists and that ending had my mind blown! Definitely recommend.
Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney
4.25
Thank you to NetGalley, Alice Feeny and MacMillian Audio for my listening copy.
I was surprised by how long it took me to get into this novel, but once I was into it I didn’t want to stop listening. I loved the accents that the narrator was able to do to make it feel like more characters than just one. There was some fantastic plot twists and the last half went by so quickly. I would say if you liked Feeny’s writing in the past, you’ll also enjoy this one.
