The Eyes Are the Best Part by Monika Kim

Not what I expected at all. A bit disappointed honestly.
Bitter is the Heart by Mina Hardy

Thank you to NetGalley, Mina Hardy and Crooked Lane Books for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
This had the chance to be a really creepy and spooky novel but it didn’t start ramping up until way too late in the novel in my opinion. I did enjoy the last quarter but the rest dragged for me.
Butcher and Blackbird by Brynne Weaver

I am shocked by how this book instantly had me in a chokehold! I was instantly addicted to this novel and instantly obsessed with the characters. They are so amazing and twisted in the best way. This is spicy and twisted and dark but all in ways that kept me thinking about this novel constantly.

Another unpredictable, twisty thriller from this author. He’s easily becoming an auto buy author for me because once I start, I can’t stop his novels. I loved the twists and I would recommend this to everyone.
That Night in the Library by Eva Jurczyk
2.5

This starts off kind of strange in my opinion and then it doesn’t really improve for me. It’s twisted and you are wondering what is happening the entire time and end the ending is the best part. The shock of that was the best part of the entire book and I reread it just to confirm that’s exactly what happened.
Someone in the Attic by Andrea Mara

This sounded really amazing. I have to say that I was a bit disappointed. I loved the first quarter and the last quarter. Everything in between is necessary but I was just a bit bored since the book started right off with action.
The Doll's House by Lisa Unger
5.0
Thank you to NetGalley, Lisa Unger and Amazon Original Stories for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
I love Unger’s writing so much. I don’t usually read short stories but I took a chance and I’m not upset about it. It was twisted and easy read, while still feeling like it was a full and finished story.
One of Us Knows by Alyssa Cole

I was shocked how quickly I flew through this one and how much I enjoyed it considering I didn’t love her previous novel. It’s so enjoyable and twisty. I thought keeping the personalities straight, but they very have clear voices and I love their personalities so much.
The Marriage Act by John Marrs
3.5
One thing I love about this author is that when there are a bunch of characters, it’s so easy to keep them and their stories straight. This was a long novel, but it didn’t read that way. I was very interested in how this was going to turn out.
