The Hitchcock Hotel by Stephanie Wrobel
3.75
Thank you to NetGalley, Stephanie Wrobel and Simon and Schuster Canada for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
I didn’t know a ton about Hitchcock overall, but now I feel like I know a bit more. This felt dark but not quite as murdery as I thought it was going to be. Great idea with a great ending twist but was a bit slowly paced (on purpose for Hitchcock I believe) than I wanted.
Bad Tourists: A Novel by Caro Carver

I really enjoyed this novel - I love the vacation thrillers for the summer and this was good and twisty. Just paced perfectly to keep you guessing and flipping those pages.

I’m not even sure what I just read. This book is a whopping 208 pages and it’s a super quick and easy read. This was a wild ride through those pages and I was left a little confused in the end.
Under the Palms by Kaira Rouda
Thank you to NetGalley, Kaira Rouda and Thomas & Mercer for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
Whoa. I wasn’t super pumped for this after reading the first Kingsley family novel, but it was entertaining and a good palate cleanser. BUT this one - wow! This was epic and I loved every minute. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next novel as this was left off with the mother of all cliff hangers!
Worst Case Scenario by T.J. Newman
5.0
Thank you to NetGalley, T.J. Newman and Little, Brown and Company for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
Newman has quickly become an auto buy author. This writes the best thrillers and allow us to feel all the emotions while reading. This was unputdownable and I flew through it. I was obsessed with the characters and the ending has me in tears. So beautiful and page turning.
The Haunting of Ashburn House by Darcy Coates
3.5
This wasn’t my favourite novel from Coates, but it was an easy and quick haunted house story that I flew through on vacation.

Thank you to NetGalley, Shari Lapena and Penguin Random House Canada for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
This is easily one of my new favourite Lapena novels. It’s a great twisty novel that has me turning pages as quickly as I could. I never saw the ending coming, but it was perfect and tied it altogether wonderfully. Definitely recommend.
I Need You to Read This by Jessa Maxwell

Thank you to NetGalley, Jessa Maxwell and Atria books for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
What a great premise for a novel! I loved the dear Constance letters and I was constantly wondering what was happening or who the letters were from. This was really compelling read and I can see why so many people are loving it.
This is Why We Lied by Karin Slaughter
4.25
Thank you to NetGalley, Karin Slaughter and William Morrow for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
This was quite long, but it doesn’t feel that way as you’re reading it. I loved this locked room type version of Will Trent and Sara. One of my favourite for sure. I definitely recommend. So many good twists and quick paced novel.
What We'll Burn Last by Heather Chavez
3.75
This wasn’t what I was expecting either; which keeps happening to me, but it was pleasant surprise. This was a quick and compelling read. I love the fire chapters as it really added an intense pressure that we know about that the characters don’t.
