I really don’t know why I continued this series.  I hated the characters just as much as I did in the first book.  The plot feels like it’s too much forced romance that we’re told to care about but it has nothing convincing.  This series should have ended at book one honestly with how much this dragged out for no reason.  The problems seem so unnecessary as if there isn’t an actual plot.

This was like a Twilight wanna be but with a focus on wolves.

I hated the characters.  Genuinely really couldn’t care about them.  Grace treated her friends and family like shit, all of her attention is on her wolf.  She is incapable of empathy apparently.  Sam is so whiny and nearly has insufferable as Grace.  And their romance was giving nothing, they was zero chemistry between them.

The setting and atmosphere of this book really brought the horror plot to life.  The main character being only eleven years old also added to just how creepy things were.  There was so much Lucas had to deal with and overcome so many of his fears along the way.  But wow, I really didn’t see the last few pages coming.  What a twisted read.

Sam just moved to town after a horrible and near-death experience at their old school.  Sam had always had a special interest in people who died before they were nineteen and well the new house they moved it doesn’t bring them the peace they had hoped.  Naturally, Sam works on solving the murder of the kid that died in the house before them.

This book felt like a safe space.  Genuinely such a comforting and wholesome read with a bit of a mystery twist and a dash of paranormal elements.  The queer and autistic representation was so comforting to read.  The main character being non-binary, queer, and autistic was written so well.  Not to mention that there was amazing aro/ace rep with Sam’s dad.  Sam’s relationship with their dad was so heartwarming.

Had decent hope for this after watching the movie but the book was disappointing.  While there were more details in the book, it overall felt a bit lackluster.

The build up dragged out for a bit longer than I would have liked.  The set up started out good enough but when it came down to the actual plot it felt like we would always learn something we should have already known.  And of course the dog death seemed unnecessary; it added nothing to the plot and felt too much like a last minute shock factor.  Lastly, the ending was disappointing, all of that just for friends to drift away?

Animal mutilations to human disappearances this book brings an interesting mix of horror and sci-fi all in one.  It’s bizarre, creepy, and filled with all the horror vibes you’d expect.  The setting was good and played well into the plot.

It was a wild ride of a story with unique formatting.  I really enjoyed the extra details with the journal logs, text conversations, and news articles.

This book wasn’t what I was expecting, the setup took up more than half the book; the actual mystery didn’t happen until the last few chapters, it was disappointing.  The main character felt a bit wishy washy, not liking lying but when it comes time for her business to be caught up in drama she doesn’t mind as long as it’s helping her?  I don’t know, I didn’t think this was for me.

The family vacation where they try to get a family picture for grandma’s birthday only for most things go wrong.  It was a funny and entertaining read and the ending was perfect 😂

A bit of a slow start for me, it took me several chapters to get into the writing style but after that I really enjoyed it, the author did a great job with the descriptions and character development.  Part one of the book was really good.  The storyline, the trust building between Lucifer and Michael was so wholesome.  And while it might have taken me a moment for me to get into the story the characters I loved right away; especially Lucifer.  He was my favorite.

Overall, it was a really beautifully written story; but also VERY emotional and a bit unhinged, in the second part of the book.  It was written really well but damn, was not expecting all of that.

I couldn’t get into this at all.  The descriptions of child p*rn were so unnecessary and in general the way the girls and women were written in this book felt really weird.  The supernatural elements felt very out of place too and didn’t do anything to help the mystery plot.  It felt bland even with the mentions of torture and mystery.
