This story did not have a purpose other than fan service, which I can respect (even though I’m not a fan of this series), but I would like for there to be at least 1% of a plot from a fan service book and there just… wasn’t.

This Girl is simply just Slammed & Point of Retreat rehashed from Will’s POV with no additional insights that add to the story. I could see through Will like a freshly Windexed window in the first two books, so none of his past feels or thoughts were interesting because I already knew them. The only thing I learned about Will from this book was how much less I liked him as a character because it reminded me of how much he punches walls and yells at children and the heroine and lies and manipulates the 18 year old STUDENT he’s “falling for.” It’s just a hard no for me.

I appreciated some elements of the story, particularly the discussion of and depiction of grief, which I feel like this author always does well. However, the romance in this was completely destroyed by the two characters being so annoying and the love interest in particular being kind of a piece of shit for half the book. Soooo ummm yeah, not my fav you could say.

Very nice for a novella, but I feel like with the amount of emotional baggage these characters had a full length novel would’ve been a better space for the story

Tessa is good at writing hot scenes, but maybe not as good at writing truthful characters, and that really took me out of it
