started reading this so I could potentially write my BA thesis on it. what a waste of my precious time.

biggest anti-climax I've ever read. the first 70% is interesting enough, but the final couple of chapters make no sense at all. what a waste of my time and waste of potential. a sad case of great idea, poor execution.

At once a fast yet tense and difficult read. Achebe recounts the heartbreaking tale of colonialism in Africa, and was able to pull me in completely. However sorrowful the ending is, it came so sudden that it was hard to process. Would definitely recommend this read to everyone, but (as always) check the content warnings.
