It was not holding my interest 

this book was slower than the first and I felt like nothing really happened until 70% through. However the last 30% is fast paced and I do love Audrey and Jake. 

3.5 rounded up to 4 due to the twist at the end and the entertainment of this book. I would have to say some of the plot is very familiar to a well known horror move but I will not say as it will spoil the plot. I would say that there does need to be more descriptions of the characters, I still really have no idea what anyone looked like and did not know the main character’s name until a couple chapters in. You have to go into this book knowing it’s a YA thriller and a quick, fun, read. 

Now this is how you write a duet! I love this world and Nico and Milla. We got more answers about the magic system and got to know more characters. This book gave me so much anxiety towards the end, but the ending was excellent. I can’t wait for more books in this world.
