Commits the worst sin a book can commit: being extremely unremarkable and average. I was promised a girl who goes mad with power and all I got was another annoyingly meek a passive protagonist. Supposedly we do get it in the next book, but I just can’t bother to read through another 400 pages of bad writing for the chance to see it happened. Also, the vague love triangle we completely unnecessary.

While I quite enjoyed the main characters and the missions (especially Ouroboros), the rest of the novel was rather underwhelming. For exemple we never really learn how the Tianqiong system works???
The team dynamics are great (loved the confession scene), but individually we don’t know anything about the other teammates other beside very surface level character traits.
I saw some people complaining about the underwhelming and predictable ending, but I actually didn’t mind it that much. At least it wasn’t a cliché revenge plot line.
