Dit is niet alleen nuttige informatie voor protesten en activistische bewegingen maar ook goede informatie over hoe je in het algemeen organiseert. Het is ook relevant voor mensen die bij bijvoorbeeld een stichting of vrijwilligerswerk iets zelf willen organiseren. Hoe organiseer je anderen? Hoe zorg je dat jouw project anderen aanspreekt? 

Wat ik een beetje mis is de boodschap dat het ook oké is om op de onderste ladders van engagement te staan. Lid worden van en vrijwilligerswerk doen voor een zaak waar je veel omgeeft is ook  valide/belangrijk.

This was a bit boring with a lot of set up and not enough pay off. It is also not as lighthearted as I thought it would be in the beginning. It introduced a lot of threads it did not continue with. There was qlso a lot of boring travel.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 8%.
Sometimes it's good to read books from a different perspective than your own. However De Waal's arguments have a lot of holes and it's obvious that he's not well versed in the social sciences or gender theory.
