This book was way to slow for my taste. Maybe it's just that I'm over cosy books? I cant believe there was no resolution to the main plot after more than 400 pages

I thought the setting and world building in this book were original and complex. What brought down the enjoyment for me was that Sam was really clueless and unable to really contribute to the plot. I also find experiences from the first WW hard to read about.

This is exaclty the kind of cheesy I look for in a festive book. A rivalry between a nutcracker shop owner and a snow globe maker is the start of this book. It's kind of silly premise but the descriptions of the crafts are clearly made by someone who did their research and appreciates them.
There were also plenty of festive activities which gave the right amount of festive vibes (which is impressive as it's September). The loving family and the cracking of emotional walls were my favorite part of the book.
I put her other festive book on my tbr immediatly for later this year.

The world is interesting and the mystery well done. But the old university setting and tea does not really add anything for me. Plus I beg Pleitti to just talk to Mossa about their relationship. Use words, be straight forward, Mossa seems to be someone who appreciates that.

Dont think this is a bad book it's just not for me. Missing depth to the plot and characters making descisions besides fleeing from the cops.

Really liked the stories in this one but this is the first time I really got something from the non-fiction essays (more to do with me being a book nerd and not a game and movie nerd than the quality of the stories). Discussions of books within books, southern gothic and regency as a romance genre. I think my favorite is It Is a Truth Universally Acknowledged That We Shall Return Once Again to the Regency
