Sad and emotional, but ultimately happy historical M/M romance. (Although definitely one to mind the content warnings, if that's an issue.)

Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.
Just wasn't clicking, and I had other things to read.

Remarkable, heartbreaking, inspirational, and often quite funny, this book is utterly amazing. The world is richer for Navalny having been in it.
Also, because it's not in the metadata here or anywhere on the audiobook, shout out to the excellent translation work of Arch Tait and Stephen Dalziel.

Still working out how I feel about the ending, but once again, Nesbo puts incredibly compelling characters through it.

A fun take on the Sherlock Holmes formula, only with Chinese immigrants to London post-WWI. The Holmes and Watson characters are both charming and interesting. And the audiobook narrator is fantastic.

Well written, organized, and argued book. I found a lot of his points quite interesting, and particularly enjoyed the chapter on the Administrative State. On the other hand, I have quibbles with some of the Nationalism chapter. But his final point about the dangers of incuriousity, I agree with wholeheartedly.

What an exciting end to this magic school romantasy! And the audio is great. Very much recommend, and honestly, more for adults than teens.

Delightful sequel in a very fun sexy sci fi series. I will happily keep reading whatever Fay wants to write about this crew.

Dan Jones is always a pleasure to read, and this proves no different. If medieval monarchy and law is your gig, this is definitely an enjoyable and eminently readable one to check out.
