Oh my gosh!  This was the cutest cozy fantasy story!  I absolutely loved the characters, especially Caz!  The story is well written and unfolds so beautifully.  There are fantastical characters, magic, and a love interest.  I love how the community came together to protect each other when they were concerned for the safety of their citizens.  I related to Kiela so much, minus the blue features, because I have such a deep love and need to protect books.  Caitlin Davies is so easy to listen to.  She does an excellent job differentiating the different character.  She brings Kiela's matter-of-factness to life-you really understand her.  Caz sometimes sounded silly, but I think it made the story that much more fun.  If you like House in the Cerulean Sea, this book is for you!

A group of college kids lock themselves in a basement and attempt to perform an old ritual.  Then people start dying one by one.  This story reminded me a lot of Christie’s “And Then There Were None.”

The story was slow for me to get into at the beginning but it picked up about 1/3 of the way in.  The writing style was good, and I like the multiple perspectives.  The ending was predictable, but the story was still enjoyable and worth the read.

This was an excellent binge-listen audiobook! It started out a bit slow, but once I was invested in the characters I didn't want to stop listening. Obolensky does a wonderful job building the characters. You will love the loveable characters and loathe the villians. There are so many moving parts to the story that can get jumbled up at times, but rest assured it all comes together at the end. You will not be disappointed. There are so many elements to the story from old family history, Egyptian curses, and mysterious death. The twists will keep you wanting more!

I particularly enjoyed the narrators. I didn't even realize while listening that Carter Roy did both voices of Johnny and Percy. They sounded so different. I also enjoyed Vanessa Richardson. Her character was strange and very flat, but I enjoyed her reading.

Chris prefers to be on his own. Unable to keep a job or maintain relationships has led to him living on his own in the woods either camping or sleeping in his car. He runs into three men. They take him and train him as if he were un animal. He is forced to fight in "dog fights" to the death. He is determined to survive and come out on top.

The sheer horror of this book will be with me for a long time! While reading this book I couldn't believe how dark and gruesome the events were that occurred non-stop throughout the entire book.  It was absolutely non stop horror. AND it's based on a true story! I'm left wondering which part was true and which part was fiction. I'm completely blown away!
