Perfection. No notes. I love this story so much. This story contains multitudes. It's more than a romance. It's a love letter of sorts to living life to the fullest. However  that may look to you. It's about healing from the past and moving forward. It's about accepting who you are and not hiding away. This is a love letter to the families we make that aren't related by blood. To forgiveness when it's needed. Every character in this book was so interesting, real, and raw. The dynamic between them all wad so nice to see. I really enjoyed experiencing this adventure for life alongside them. There is so much emotion, and as someone who has experienced the death of a loved one like this, this felt so real and relatable. I cried, and I'm not ashamed. This is so beautifully written, and this will be a story that will stick with me for a very long time.

This is essentially Léon The Professional, but more queer, Mathilda is a trans man, we get more spice, and there isn't any underlying pedophilia. All in all, this is a quick and spicy adventure that I quite enjoyed. Definitely worth checking out.

I have mostly enjoyed the books I have read by Cora Rose, but this one just wasn't it for me. By the halfway point, I became invested, but not overly so. I was able to finish the book. There were just a lot of things that felt unfinished in this one. The beginning of Theo and Logan's "situation" felt kind of slimy without any context because we jumped right into the "transactions" but only from Logan's POV. We don't get Theo's POV for a good few chapters. Theo's past didn't feel like it was addressed enough. We just get one scene, and that's it. And then Logan and Landon's issues were resolved almost too easily. Neither of these things needed a bunch of drama and angst, just more depth. It made the story and characters feel very one dimensional and surface level. It held my interest in the end, but it took a while to get there, and I just didn't feel very satisfied when it was over. It's kind of disappointing since I have really liked everything else I have read from this author. This just didn't feel up to their usual quality of work.

I really think it is impossible at this point for Viano Oniomoh to write something that I won't love. This was so perfect. I haven't seen very many aro/ace stories or queerplatonic stories. This just made me so happy. And it's a Beauty And The Beast retelling without being problematic, and it's queer? Yes, please! Eru and Esioghene's story was so sweet and beautiful. This story is short, but it's full of so much emotion, and Viano manages to provide believable character and relationship development along the way. I fell in love with everything about this story so quickly and easily. I'm beginning to think Viano is a witch and just can't write horrible stories. I love this story so much, and I love Viano for creating it.

This is a super fun and quick little opposites attract rom-com that is perfect for spooky season, or any other time of year honestly. Magnus gives grumpy old man vibes, and Kilroy is the excitable new puppy that is throwing a wrench into his way of life. This story is fun, ridiculous, and pretty spicy. It's also pretty low angst for those who are looking for that. This definitely has A.J. Truman's usual essence, but also something completely new and different from what I have read from him before. Overall, this was great, and I hope to see more paranormal stories from this author in the future.

This was fun for a good chunk of the book. I love the ridiculousness of it all. I think the problem was the pacing once that time jump happened towards the middle. The story just all of a sudden felt slow and dragged a bit. The only thing that kept me going was the comedy from Leland and Jackson. Their relationship was oddly sweet, and after Leland revealed his secrets, their communication was great. Overall, this is a fun story, just the pacing fell off about halfway through for me.

This was so much better than I had anticipated, and I thought it sounded pretty good to begin with. This gave me similar vibes as The Emperor and The Endless Palace by Justinian Huang, but YA, without the dreaded existentialism or multiple timelines, and with a much more happy ending. Xian and Zhen are such interesting and complex characters. They really hold up this story. The plot was super unique and intriguing as well. There's drama, mystery, politics, and romance. This story is definitely not one note, but so layered and with so much depth. I usually have different expectations for YA stories. It's a different genre and target audience, after all, so I just did not expect everything that I got with this story. I had so much fun and felt so much emotion while reading this. It's a journey and such an amazing one at that. This deserves way more hype, and I HIGHLY recommend this to everyone!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Fun, quick, and cute little cozy sapphic fantasy. Amaya and Rue are such fun characters. The story is pretty simple but interesting. This is very low angst, so it was a perfect low stress read to cozy up with on this first snowy day of the year.

Fun and cute YA queer rom-com between a royal/civilian. It's simple and enjoyable, although a bit one note. The romance was cute, and the character growth was good to see. Overall, this is good, but not great, and I had fun in the moment. If you enjoyed Red, White, and Royal Blue, but want something YA then this is perfect for you.

Simple and short. It's a fun, quick little read. I was hoping for more. The premise is interesting, but I think the story is just too short to really get invested. There's a lot of potential here. I will probably still try out the rest of the series because I am pretty curious about the overall world it's based in.
