A very slow book. It seemed to drag on and Sarah Rees Brennan's writing isn't exactly top notch either. I totally did not expect the big twist at the end. Pretty good book overall.

I think if I had to read through another episode of Spongebob or Dora I'd have given this thing 2 stars. Fortunately, this book redeemed itself a little after the escape. Mostly tediouslly dull. There's no real explanation as to how Ma managed to train up a super intelligent, eloquent 5 year old. This book is not worth all the praise it seems to be getting

Honestly, it took until about 50 pages before the end before I had any clue what was going on, even now I'm not so sure what read.

This book is pretty good, and certainly didn't deserve to be lumped in with the box of teenage Dark Romance novels it came with.
