I think the book was overall good but I’m not satisfied with such an ambiguous ending regardless that it “makes sense” for the plot, like idk who did what or why 😭

I’m so upset with myself. If I picked this up 2018 I think I’d have devoured it but idk I’ve been struggling with YA dystopian books and that includes the ones with stellar cultural diversity and rep. 

Might circle back to this as an audiobook since I think I get the main idea of this world now.

Hmm I think the way the MML was written could have been better in translating him as “damaged” bc he really was horrible to her and we are supposed to accept it and I do but just BARELY bc of his regret and change and the emphasis on his PTSD basically.

I think I’d have finished it faster n liked it a bit more if it was an audiobook bc physical books and I have been eh but anyways the ending dragged quite a bit and the FML was almost one dimensional.
