I enjoyed this, but it kind of felt like Cathy the cartoon character as a detective.

This book made me realize how little I knew about Michelle Obama. Her upbringing and background are fascinating and read like a novel. I already knew a lot of the story once Barack started running for president, so that part was a little boring to me at times, but it was really interesting to learn what living in the White House is like and to hear about Michelle's efforts at making herself, the country, and the world better. Very inspiring book.

This is an interesting format for a memoir, basically a series of stories about terrible things large and small that occurred in her life, but it manages to be hopeful and inspiring. She's a song writer, so obviously the writing is poetic and creative. My advance copy was missing a couple of chapters and the artwork. I'm excited to see the rest when it comes out.

I'm usually good at suspending my disbelief, but this plot was too farfetched for me. And I wasn't convinced why the protagonist would make the decisions she made.
